Art on the Trail & Art on
location
The
Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Cleveland Metroparks offer wonderful
opportunities for hiking with cameras and/or small backpacks with art supplies
and a lunch. Hikes can be long and
off the beaten path, or we will meet by car at a predetermined location,
setting up nearby. Outdoor
sessions will focus on creating nature-inspired images on paper or canvas in
the time allowed, followed by group display and discussion. Participants
may work on their own with help as needed, or
participate in an Òart exerciseÓ.
Outdoor Art Experiences will be held throughout the
warm weather as schedules permit.
Times, dates, and locations will be made available by signing up for
email notification. ksboyesen@artexperiences.org

KristenÕs
love of nature draws her to hike the many trails (man-made as well as animal
paths) that beckon one to explore the beauty and peace of wild areas. On these hikes, scenes are continually
presenting themselves as wonderful subjects to paint or draw. Sometimes the images are captured with
a camera for use later in the studio.
If art materials are in a backpack, then the scene may be captured Ôin
the wildÕ, surrounded by the sounds of the rustling leaves, the songs of birds,
and the scurried movements of small forest creatures.
